The death toll in Syria on Saturday 26/12/2015 reached 57 deaths including eight children, seven women, and three killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, 18 civilians were killed; seven in mortar shelling and missiles on Douma, four in shelling on al-Ma’damiya, one in clashes with government forces, one as a result of the lack of food and medicine due to the siege imposed on Madaya, another shot by a regime sniper, and one shot by unknown assailants.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 13 civilians, seven in shelling on al-Sheikh Najjar and al-Haidariya (in the city) and the city of Hiyan and Manbaj (in the suburbs), and six in clashes with government forces.
Furthermore, 11 civilians perished in Idlib, nine in shelling on the city of Jarjanaz, and two in clashes with government forces.
In addition, five died in Homs, four in shelling, and one under torture in one of al-Nusra prisons. A further four civilians died in Hama, two in clashes with government forces, and two in shelling.
The killings of three civilians were documented in Daraa, two in clashes with government forces, and one in shelling. The killings of two civilians were documented in A-Raqqah, one in shelling, and the other under torture in a government prison. Additionally, a civilian was killed under torture in Kurdish militia prisons in Al-Hassaka.
