The death toll in Syria on Thursday 15/10/2015 reached 102 deaths including 26 children, 14 women and two killed under torture.
A staggering 66 civilians were killed in Homs; 35 in al-Ghantou (the majority children and women) in Russian airstrikes on one of the shelters, 19 in the town of Tirma’la in Russian airstrikes on a bakery, ten in Talbisa, al-Daar al-Kabeera and al-Farhaniya in Russian airstrikes, and one in a car bomb explosion in al-Tal (rural Damascus).
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, 19 civilians perished; nine in shelling (the majority in Douma), six in clashes with government forces, one in a car bomb explosion, another in the targeting of a water center in Yarmouk camp, one shot by a regime sniper, and one under torture at the hands of one of the factions of the opposition.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of nine civilians, six in shelling, and three in the targeting of their vehicle on al-Tawama – al-Artab road.
Furthermore, three died in Idlib in shelling on the town of al-Dana (rural Idlib). A civilian was also killed in Hama in Russian airstrikes on al-Naqeer camp a while ago.
The killings of three civilians were documented in Daraa, one under torture in a government prison, and two in clashes with government forces. The killing of a civilian was also documented in Al-Hassaka, at the hands of Kurdish militia.
