Friday Prayers Cancelled in Homs northern countryside

2-October-2015 By admin2

The Syrian opposition in Homs northern countryside declared today that no Friday prayers will be performed, due to their fear of Russian air strikes during or after the prayers, and to avoid the gathering of people in one place.

The resolution was announced by the Supreme Sharia court in Homs due to the intensive Russian flights taking place over the region a little before the prayer time.

It is worth mentioning that this is the first time in which Friday prayers have been cancelled to avoid the risk of being targeted since the beginning of the crisis in March 2011.
