The popular market of the Shi’aar district in Aleppo was bombed with a rocket, and then shelled, resulting in the death of 12 people (the result of the first count) and injuring dozens of others.
The bombing of markets is a primary way in which the Syrian regime is practising genocide in various Syrian cities, with SHC documenting 55 bombings of markets from the beginning of 2015 and until now. These attacks have taken place particularly in Aleppo city, followed by the provinces of Idlib and rural Damascus.
