The death toll in Syria on Wednesday 16/09/2015 reached 48 deaths including nine children, five women and three killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, 19 civilians were killed; 12 in clashes with government forces, three in shelling one at the hands of ISIS, 11 in wounds sustained in mortar shelling on Damascus and a while ago, one in an ambush and another under torture in a government prison.
Deir Azzour witnessed the killings of eight civilians; six in shelling on the town of Jadeed Akeedat, one executed at the hands of ISIS and another in clashes with government forces.
An additional eight civilians died in Hama, in shelling on the town of Sufuhan (rural Idlib), among them four children and two women. In addition, a civilian was killed under torture in a government prison.
Furthermore, five were killed in Daraa; three in clashes with government forces, one assassinated in the targeting of a car, and another under torture in a government prison.
In Homs two civilians perished, one in a landmine explosion and the other publicly executed at one of the barriers in Al-Latakia.
The killings of three civilians were documented in Aleppo, two in shelling on al-Mashad neighbourhood and one in mortar shelling on al-Hameediya, which is under government control.
The killings of two civilians were also documented in Idlib in shelling, and one in Al-Hassaka in an explosion carried out by ISIS on Monday 14/09/2015.
