The death toll in Syria on Monday 17/08/2015 reached 54 deaths including seven children, seven women and three killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, 12 civilians were killed; eight in shelling – the majority in Salah al-Deen neighbourhood in the city, a woman died of fear due to hearing an explosion on al-Mashad neighbourhood, one died in clashes with ISIS, another in clashes with government forces and one under torture in the military intelligence branch in Damascus.
Hama witnessed the killings of 11 civilians, ten in shelling, the majority in the town of al-Latamina and one under torture in a government prison.
In Daraa, four civilians were killed, two in shelling, one publically executed at the hands of Lebanese militia and one in clashes with government forces.
Furthermore, two were killed in Homs, one as a result of the inability of receiving treatment due to the siege and the other from wounds sustained in shelling on Tadmur on Sunday.
In addition, two were killed in cluster bomb explosion while herding sheep in Al-Hassaka.
