The death toll in Syria on Tuesday 16/06/2015 reached 92 deaths including 37 children, 20 women and one killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, 27 civilians were killed; 24 in shelling on the city of Douma (among them 11 women and five children), one executed at the hands of ISIS, one in clashes with government forces and another as a result of lack of food and medicine due to the siege imposed on eastern Ghouta.
In Daraa, 29 civilians were killed; 24 in explosive barrel bombing, which resulted in a massacre in eastern al-Ghariya, in which, 22 were killed. Among the victims were two children and two women. In addition, two were killed in shelling on rural Daraa, four in clashes with government forces and one under torture in a government prison.
Furthermore, 25 civilians perished in Aleppo; ten in mortar shelling on areas under the governments control (among them six children and three women), three in explosive barrel bombing (one of them a child in rural Daraa, died in the eastern Ghariya massacre), two in clashes with government forces and ten in a bomb explosion by ISIS on the town of Um Hawsh.
The killings of eight civilians were documented in Idlib, when the city of Areeha was targeted with vacuum missiles. Among the victims were four children and two women.
The killings of two civilians were also documented in Homs, one in shelling and the other shot by members loyal to the regime while trying to kidnap him. In addition, the killing of a civilian was documented in Ar-Raqqah at the hands of the Kurdish people protection units in Tal Abyad.
