The death toll in Syria on Tuesday 26/05/2015 reached 52 deaths including, six children, seven women and three killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, six civilians were killed; two shot by a regime sniper, two as a result of the lack of medicine due to the siege, one in shelling and one under torture in a government prison.
In Deir Azzour, nine civilians were killed; four executed at the hands of ISIS under various charges, two in shelling, one in clashes with government forces, one in mortar shelling by ISIS on the besieged neighbourhood of al-Jurra and one under torture in a government prison.
Al-Latakia witnessed the killings of eight civilians; two in shelling, five in clashes with government forces and one was found in a bush – the reason for his death remains unknown.
An additional eight perished in Ar-Raqqah, in international alliance shelling on a vehicle carrying them near one of the ISIS barriers, while they were heading to work in the fields. Among the victims were five women and a young girl.
Furthermore, seven were killed in Aleppo, four in shelling on Barj Azawi in the suburbs and al-Kalasa neighbourhood in the city and three in clashes with ISIS near the city of Mari’.
The killings of five civilians were documented in Daraa; three in clashes with government forces, one in a mine explosion – remnants of the regime and one under torture in a government prison.
In addition, the killings of four civilians were documented in Homs, two in shelling and two in clashes with government forces.
Four civilians were also killed in Al-Hassaka, three in a landmine explosion and one executed at the hands of ISIS. Moreover, a civilian was killed in Idlib in clashes with government forces.
