The death toll in Syria on Friday 17/04/2015 reached 58 deaths including, 12 children, six women and two killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs, five civilians were killed; one kidnapped and killed at the hands of unknown assailants, one shot by a regime sniper, another in a car bomb explosion by ISIS and two as a result of lack of food and medicine due to the siege imposed on eastern Ghouta.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 22 civilians, 20 in explosive barrel bombings on al-Kalaasa and Bab al-Hadeed neighbourhoods in the city, and the town of Bayanun and al-Baab in rural Aleppo (among them two children and a woman). In addition, two were killed in a mine explosion planted by ISIS, in the city of Jarablis, in the suburbs.
In Idlib, 18 civilians perished in shelling on Idlib, Ma’rrat Masreen and the village of al-Talhiya in the suburbs. Among the victims were eight children and three women.
Furthermore, eight civilians were killed in Hama, one in shelling and seven in clashes with government forces.
Moreover, two were killed in Homs in clashes- one in clashes with ISIS. Additionally, the killings of three civilians were documented in Daraa, one in clashes with government forces and two under torture in government prisons.
