Ten civilians- including three children and three children- were killed, and dozens left injured, when the Sa’ad al-Ansari school in al-Mashad district, Aleppo, was targeted by missiles during the school day.

The al-Ansari school bombing came as part of a wider campaign targeting most of the city of Aleppo, and which also caused the death of seven civilians from the same family in al-Ma’adi district when a warplane dropped an interstitial missile on two homes during the afternoon.

The bombing campaign has led to the Syrian Interim Government’s department for education announcing a stop to teaching in all schools until the end of the week.

The following names of victims from al-Ansari school have been identified:

Hasan Makhzoom (40 years)
Mohammed Makhzoom (40 years)
Othman Ayman (13 years)
Hadeel (26 years)
Fatima Jumuah (22 years)
Bayan Falaha (23 years)
Abdul Ghani Makhzoom (60 years)
Mohammed Jumuah Makhzoom (30 years)
