The death toll in Syria on Monday 16/03/2015 reached 46 deaths including nine children, eight women and 17 killed under torture, ten of them identified through leaked photographs.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 18 civilians were killed; ten in shelling and eight under torture in government prisons among them a woman and six identified through leaked photographs.
Daraa witnessed the killings of 13 civilians; three in shelling, one shot by a regime sniper and nine under torture, four of them identified through leaked photographs.
In Idlib seven civilians perished; one in shelling and six in poisonous gas bombing on the city of Sarmin (rural Idlib), among them were three children and two women.
Furthermore six were killed in Aleppo; two shot by a regime sniper, one in the launch of a mortar shell, one in shelling, another in clashes with government forces and a woman died in one of the Turkish hospitals due to burns previously sustained in shelling on the city.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Hama in artillery shelling, among them a woman.
