The death toll in Syria on Saturday 28/02/2015 reached 58 deaths including five children, three women and two killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs nine civilians were killed; five in clashes with government forces, one in shelling, two due to the fall of a mortar shell in al-Qabun, among them a child and one as a result of lack of food and medicine due to the siege imposed on Yarmouk camp.
Daraa witnessed the killings of 27 civilians; 20 in clashes with government forces in rural Daraa, seven shot by the Lebanon security forces while attempting to cross the border and one under torture in a government prison.
In Idlib 13 civilians were killed; 11 publicly executed, shot at the hands of government forces, after they stormed their houses in the town of Qarsiya (rural Idlib), among them was a child and two women. A civilian was killed in an explosion in the city of Sarmeen due to an unknown cause or party and another was killed under torture in government prisons.
Furthermore seven civilians perished in Aleppo; five in the fall of mortar shells on al-Aziziya, al-Jamiliya and baab al-Hadeed neighbourhoods and one in clashes with government forces.
A civilian was shot by the Jordanian security in Homs while attempting to cross the border and another civilian was executed in Deir Azzour at the hands of ISIS under charges of apostasy.
