The death toll in Syria on Tuesday 24/02/2015 reached 39 deaths including six children, three women and three killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 17 were killed; ten in clashes with government forces, three in shelling on the city of al-Zabdani and Arbeen, one in the fall of a mortar shell, another shot by a regime sniper, a child due to the siege imposed on eastern Ghouta by government forces and one killed under torture in government prisons.
Homs witnessed the killings of seven civilians; three in the storming of the political security of al-A’deen camp in Homs and the burning of a house, two were killed in shelling on the city of Jarbanfasa (rural Hama) and Ar-Rastan (rural Homs) and one in clashes with government forces in eastern Ghouta.
In Aleppo five were killed; two assassinated by unknown assailants in rural Aleppo, two in clashes with government forces on Bashuki front, a woman died from wounds sustained in the fall of a mortar shell on al-Mukambu neighbourhood in Aleppo five days ago.
Furthermore four members of one family were killed in Al-Hassaka, among them were three children in the village of al-Ghibish in Tal Tamr at the hands of the YPG.
Three civilians perished in Daraa; two as a result of an ambush by government forces near Mahja and one under torture in a government prison.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Hama; one in a bomb explosion and the other under torture in a government prison. The killing of another civilian was documented at the hands of ISIS in Ar-Raqqah under charges of insulting the prophet.
