The death toll in Syria on Monday 16/02/2015 reached 28 deaths including eight children, a woman and three under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs eight were killed; three in clashes with government forces, one shot by a regime sniper and a child as a result of the siege in eastern Ghouta. An additional child died several hours after birth as a result of birth defects, due to the exposure of his parents to chemical bombing two years ago. Furthermore a civilian was killed at the hands of ISIS after he was arrested a while ago.
Aleppo witnessed the killings of 12 civilians; one in shelling, another in clashes with government forces and ten in shelling on al-Siryan neighbourhood in the city, among them were four children.
In Homs three civilians perished; one in shelling, a child due to the siege imposed on al-Waer neighbourhood and one under torture in government prisons.
An additional three were killed in Daraa; one due to a guided missile targeting his car, a civilian stuck under the rubble of his house for five days after aviation bombing took place in the city of Douma and another civilian died under torture in government prisons.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Al-Latakia in the targeting of the village of al-Wadi connected to Rabia with airstrikes by warplanes. The killings of an additional two civilians were also documented in Deir Azzour; one attacked with machine guns and the other under torture in government prisons.
