The total death toll in Syria on Sunday 25/1/2015 reached 68 deaths including nine children, five women and five under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 28 civilians were killed; nine in shelling on Douma, Zamlaka and Arbeen, five as a result of clashes in several eastern Ghouta fronts and seven in mortar shells launched by opposition forces on Damascus. In addition a civilian was shot by a regime sniper, another executed at the hands of Al-Nusra front under charges of insulting God and two due to the siege imposed on Douma and Yarmouk camp.
Daraa witnessed the killings of 23 civilians; one in shelling, two under torture, among them a 17 year old child and 20 in clashes with government forces in rural Daraa.
Furthermore ten civilians were killed in Aleppo; a child due to the cold weather in the town of al-Sheikh Isa, one under torture, two from the Al-Mahmoud family died in the cellars and one was executed at the hands of ISIS. Additionally a girl’s body was found burnt on al-Hamdaniya highway and four died in al-Ashrafiya neighbourhood due to the fall of a shell on the neighbourhood.
In Hama three civilians perished; two in shelling, two under torture in government prisons and two in Idlib as a result of shelling in the suburbs.
The killing of a civilian was documented in Deir Azzour in a mine explosion and another in Homs died from wounds sustained in clashes with government forces.
