The total death toll in Syria on Friday 16/1/2015 reached 20 deaths including five children a woman, three killed under torture and one due to the cold weather.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs nine were killed; six in shelling on Douma and al-Deir Khabiya among them a mother and her three children, two in Jobar neighbourhood and one shot by a regime sniper in Barza neighbourhood.
Daraa witnessed the killings of two civilians; one under torture in a government prison and a child died from her wounds sustained in previous shelling.
In Al-Latakia three were killed; two due to a guided missile which targeted their car from the top of mount Yunus and one under torture in Sednaya prison after enduring three years of imprisonment.
Furthermore two civilians perished in Deir Azzour in clashes with government forces and one in Aleppo as a result of ISIS targeting the city of Mari’ with mortar shells.
The killing of a civilian was documented in Hama due to the cold in Atma camp, as well as one in clashes with government forces in Al-Quneitra. An additional civilian was killed in Al-Suweida under torture in Sednaya prison after being accused of trying to split from the government forces in 2012.
