The total death toll in Syria on Monday 8/12/2014 reached 45 deaths including three children, three women and two killed under torture.
A staggering 22 civilians were killed in the capital Damascus and its suburbs; 16 died as a result of air strikes on Douma, Hamuriya and Arbeen, two were executed at the hands of government forces and two were assassinated at the hands of unknown assailants.
In Aleppo nine were killed; two due to mortar shells, three in clashes with government forces, one in shelling, another in the bombing of Pinar border crossing and one under torture in government prisons.
Daraa witnessed the killings of six civilians, among them were three journalists belonging to Al-Mashriq TV died when their car was targeted with a guided missile, while covering the clashes in rural Daraa. In addition another three were killed in clashes with government forces in rural Daraa.
Furthermore four were killed in Deir Azzour; three in shelling on al-Shoula, one in clashes with government forces and one under torture in government prisons. Additionally another civilian was executed in Ar-Raqqah at the hands of ISIS under charges of “insulting the divine self”.
The killing of a civilian was documented in Homs in clashes with government forces. A civilian was also killed in Idlib and another in Hama, shot by unknown assailants.
