The total death toll in Syria on Thursday 4/12/2014 reached 44 deaths including nine children, three women and four killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 11 civilians were killed; six in shelling on various towns among them Deir Al-Assafir, where an entire family of five members were killed. Additionally two were killed in clashes with government forces, one under torture, a child died as a result of lack of food in eastern al-Ghouta due to the siege and another child died due to the severe cold weather in Arsal camp in Lebanon.
An additional 11 civilians were killed in Deir Azzour in clashes with government forces stationed in Deir Azzour airport.
In Daraa six civilians perished; four in shelling among them a woman and a child and two in clashes with government forces on al-Sheikh Miskeen front.
Furthermore six were killed in Aleppo; three in clashes with government forces at al-Bareej and al-Ramusa fronts, a child in a car bomb explosion, one in bombing by the international alliance of the Syrian- Iraqi border and one was killed under torture in government prisons.
In Homs five civilians were killed; two in shelling, a child died due to fear of the sounds of explosions and bombings and another child in Arsal camp due to the cold weather.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Ar-Raqqah; one executed at the hands of ISIS under charges of insulting the prophet and the other was found shot by unknown assailants. Another two civilians were killed in Idlib in clashes and two in Hama under torture in Branch 215.
