The total death toll in Syria on Friday 17/10/2014 reached 58 deaths including ten children, four women, two killed under torture, three at the hands of ISIS and two as a result of the siege.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 30 civilians were killed; 18 in an air raid in the city of Douma. In addition four others were killed as a result of shelling bringing the total number of deaths to 22. Furthermore four were killed in clashes with government forces, a child died as a result of the lack of food due to the siege imposed on Eastern Ghouta, one died under torture and two were shot dead.
Nine were killed in Idlib; six as a result of shelling among them four women and three in clashes with government forces.
In Daraa seven were killed; six in clashes with government forces and a child was killed under torture in security prisons after he endured 30 months of arrest.
Seven were killed in Aleppo; three in shelling, one in clashes with government forces and three at the hands of ISIS among them a child executed in the city of al-Baab (Rural Aleppo). In addition two were killed in Deir Azzour as a result of ongoing clashes there.
The killings of two were documented in Homs; one as a result of the siege on the city of Talbis and the other due to shelling. One was also killed in Hama due to clashes with government forces.
