ISIS has announced today its execution of the British Humanitarian worker Alan Henning, saying that the execution was a response to the British Government’s stance on the participation of the UK in the international attacks against ISIS.
In a recording released by ISIS, a clip showing the approval of the British parliament to participate in the international campaign is shown, followed by a clip of the execution of the hostage Alan Henning. At the end of the recording, ISIS threaten to execute an American hostage, Peter Kaseg (26 years), who previously worked in the Middle East as an American soldier before returning to the region as a voluntary doctor to assist victims of war. He worked with an NGO in Gaziantep in Turkey, and was kidnapped in Deir Azzour, 2013.
Henning, who was 47 years of age, worked as a Taxi driver in Britain before deciding to participate in humanitarian missions to help the Syrian people. He was kidnapped in December 2013.
The British Parliament voted with a large majority to take part in the international attacks against ISIS on 26/9/2014.
