Thirty-one civilians were killed on Sunday 28/09/2014 including a child, four women, four killed under torture and two at the hands of the international alliance.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 11 civilians were killed; five as a result of shelling on Arbeen, four in clashes with government forces on Eastern Ghouta front and two killed under torture.
Six civilians were killed in Aleppo; two were shot by government snipers stationed in Qal’at Aleppo, one was killed in clashes with government forces, one died in shelling, another was killed by a mortar shell of unknown source and one died due to air strikes by the international alliance on Ar-Raqqah where he was displaced.
In Daraa five civilians were killed; one in clashes, one due to shelling, another shot by a sniper and two were killed under torture in government prisons. The Daraa province also witnessed the explosion of three car bombs which resulted in three wounded in the town of al-Na’ima and several wounded in the city of Da’il. Moreover the explosion of the fourth car had been aborted in al-Yaduda. The car had emerged from al-Maftara barrier and was headed towards the town but was stopped in time.
Additionally three civilians were killed in Idlib; one died from his wounds after he was taken to Askandrun hospital in Turkey following the targeting of the international alliance aircraft on the town of Kafr Diryan. In addition two were killed by government airstrikes including a child.
Two civilians were killed in Hama; one died from his wounds as a result of an assassination operation which leaders of the opposition forces were exposed to a while ago in rural Idlib and the other died as result of bombing of explosive barrels.
Two women were documented to have been killed in Deir Azzour due to shelling and one in Ar-Raqqah also due to shelling. In addition a civilian has also been killed in Homs due to clashes with government forces.
