The death toll in Syria on Wednesday 17/09/2014 reached 87 deaths including 16 children among them a baby, ten women, three killed under torture and a journalist.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 29 civilians were killed; including 22 killed in shelling on Douma and Hamuriya in the suburbs among them were eight children and a baby, five were killed in clashes with government forces and one was killed under torture.
Twenty four civilians were killed under torture; 16 were publically executed; shot in the town of Dimu at the hands of forces loyal to the regime, four were killed in clashes with government forces, three were killed in shelling and one was shot by a regime sniper.
The total number of deaths in Aleppo reached 19 civilians; 18 were killed in shelling on Karam al-Bayk, Tariq al-Baab in the city, Batbu and Andan in the suburbs and one was killed in clashes with government forces.
Seven civilians were killed in Homs; three as a result of clashes with government forces and four as a result of shelling.
Additionally four civilians were killed in Deir Azzour due to shelling on the town of al-Sha’fa in rural Eastern Deir Azzour.
The killings of two civilians were documented in Idlib; two in Daraa one of them under torture and one was killed in Al-Qunietra under torture in government prisons.
