The death toll in Syria on Monday 1/09/2014 reached 62 deaths including four children, six women and one killed under torture.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 16 civilians were killed; including nine that were killed as a result of shelling, six in clashes with government forces and a woman that died due to lack of food and medical supplies due to the siege imposed on the Eastern Ghouta.
In Idlib 18 civilians were killed; 12 were killed in shelling on the towns of Kafruma and Ma’rrat al-Nomaan in the suburbs, and six were killed in clashes with regime forces.
In Homs 12 civilians were killed; nine died in clashes with regime forces, two were found dead in a well after they were missing for more than three months and one was killed under torture in security prisons.
Seven were killed in Aleppo: among them was a woman shot by a sniper and six that died as a result of shelling on the city’s neighbourhoods including three children.
In addition four were killed in Hama; three as a result of shelling among them a child and one in clashes with government forces.
The death of three civilians in Al-Hasaka due to bombing of warplanes among them a woman, was documented. This is in addition to the killing of a civilian in Daraa as a result of clashes and another in Al-Quneitra that was shot by a regime sniper in the Yarmouk camp.
