The death toll in Syria on Tuesday 26/08/2014 reached 71 deaths including five children, six women, five killed under torture and four at the hands of ISIS.
In the capital Damascus and its suburbs 20 civilians were killed on Tuesday; three as a result of clashes with government forces and three were shot by government snipers at Barza neighbourhood. Moreover 14 civilians were killed in the city of al-Zabdani previously and their names were reached today; among them were two civilians died as a result of shelling, three shot by a sniper, two killed at the hands of popular committees and seven killed in clashes with government forces.
In Aleppo and its suburbs 11 civilians were killed; eight as a result of shelling, four in the village of al-Kharba, one on the road to al-Sheikh Najar al-Qadeem in the city, three from the Tumani family were killed yesterday on Monday due to Steric rocket bombardment on Dabiq.
Sixteen civilians were killed in Deir Azzour; one was killed as a result of shelling, nine died in shelling on the town of al-Hawayij in the suburbs of the province, one in shelling on Abu Abid neighbourhood yesterday, one was killed in clashes with government forces in rural Damascus and four were killed at the hands of ISIS where they were crucified at al-Bal’um roundabout in the city on charges of fighting the regulation.
In Homs nine civilians were killed; seven as a result of clashes with government forces at al-Houla front and two were killed under torture in security prisons.
Additionally five were killed in Daraa; three as a result of shelling including two children and a woman, one was shot by a regime sniper and one civilian was killed under torture.
It has been documented the killings of five others in Hama; two were executed a public execution, one died as a result of shelling, one was killed in clashes and another civilian was killed under torture.
It has also been documented the killing of three civilians in Ar-Raqqah as a result of shelling, two other civilians were killed in Idlib; one in clashes and the other a child due to shelling which targeted a kindergarten.
