Accused of the Tadmur Massacre

According to the confessions made by some of the perpetrators of the Tadmur Massacre, and according to the political and military structures in the units which participated in the massacre, those accused of the massacre whose names have been known include:

1. Hafiz al-Assad (President at the time of the Massacre)
2. Rif’at al-Assad (Commander of the Defence Brigades)
3. Lieutenant Colonel Faisal Ghanim (Head of Tadmur Prison)
4. Lieutenant Colonel Ali Deeb – Brigade Commander (138) of the defence brigades (from Latakkia province)
5. Major Mu’een Nasif- Brigade commander (40) of the defence brigades
6. Lieutenant Colonel Suleiman Mustafa- Chief of Staff general (40) of the defence brigades (from the province of Hama).
7. First Lieutenant Yasir Bakeer- of Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (province of Hama)
8. First Lt. Muneer Darwish- of Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Latakkia)
9. First Lt. Ra’eef Abdullah- of Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Latakkia)
10. Sergeant Mohammed Ammar – among the guards of the house of Mu’een Nasif (Latakkia).
11. Sergeant Ali Mussa- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Homs)
12. Sergeant Hummam Ahmed- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Jablah)
13. Sergeant Nazih Balool- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Homs)
14. Sergeant Talal Muhyideen Ahmed- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Latakkia)
15. Sergeant Issa Ibrahim Fayadh- among the guards of the house of Mu’een Nasif (Latakkia)
16. Sergeant Badr Mansour- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Jableh)
17. Corporal Akram al-Bishani- among the guards of Mu’een Nasif (Tartous)
18. Cpl. Ibrahim Yunus- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Homs)
19. Cpl. Ibrahim Makna- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Jableh)
20. Cpl. Tahir Zabari- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Jableh)
21. Cpl. Ali Salha- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Misyaaf)
22. Cpl. Abdul-Rahman Hadlan- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades
23. Cpl. Nasir Abdul-Latif- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Tartous)
24. Cpl. Ghassan Shahadeh- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Latakkia)
25. Cpl. Hussein Issa- Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Homs)
26. Cpl. Basheer Qullo- ¬ Brigade (40) of the defence brigades (Homs)
