The province of Daraa witnessed a bloody day after the “Naziheen Camp” was bombed in Baldat al-Shajara in Daraa.
Syrian regime helicopters released two explosive barrels on the Al-Faluja school and the Abdul Qadir Mosque which houses displaced people, leading to the death of more than 70 civilians of the camp as well as leaving tens injured. Most of the camp was destroyed.
The camp is home to almost 5000 displaced civilians, most from Nawa, al-Taseel, ‘Adwan and Sheikh Sa’ad, who were not able to enter Jordan although their intention was to complete their journey there.
The massacre took place at the same time as other attacks in which explosive barrels were released on various areas of Daraa, such as the bombing on the Northern District of Tafas which resulted in a number of deaths.
