Daily Report on Violations of Human Rights in Syria: 30/05/2014

The death toll on Friday 30/5/2014 reached 121 deaths, including ten women and 19 children.

Sixty five civilians were executed in the city of Aleppo at the hands of the ISIl and ten others died as a result of shelling on Bustan al-Qasr (Aleppo). In addition six others were killed in aviation bombing on al-Kastilo road (Aleppo) and 12 men died as a result of air strikes on al-Midan district.

In Al-Hassaka the ISIL executed 14 civilians in Taliliya (Rural Al-Hassaka).

In Idlib eight were killed including four from al-Janudiya (Rural Idlib) as a result of shelling on the village.

Among those killed five men, three women and five children from al-Midan (Aleppo) were killed when a missile fell near al-Tawlid hospital in the neighbourhood. Additionally a man in his twenties from Jasim (Daraa) died as a result of a mine explosion and a child from Douma (Rural Damascus) died from poisoning as a result of malnutrition and food shortages. Furthermore a girl from Zamlaka (Rural Damascus) died as a result of non-consumption of food for two days and the unavailability of medication.

Four were killed under torture; two from Jabab (Daraa), the third from Deir Azzour and the fourth a defected lieutenant from al-Houla (Homs).

As a result of bombing of explosive barrels; a man from Khan al-Sheikh (Rural Damascus) and four civilians and a child from Aleppo were killed.

Three from Deir Azzour were shot dead by unknown assailants and a fourth from al-Qabun (Rural Damascus).

Three were shot by regime snipers; the first from Wadi al-Sayih (Homs) shot yesterday in rural Damascus, the second from al-Mazza (Damascus) killed on 28/5/2014 in al-Wifdan camp (Rural Damascus) and the third from Bustan al-Qasr (Aleppo) shot by a regime sniper overlooking the neighbourhood on 26/5/2014.

List of provinces according to numbers killed:

Aleppo: 65 including 6 women and 7 children.
Al-Hassaka: 14 including 3 women and 7 children.
Damascus and its suburbs: 14 including 3 children.
Daraa: 10 including a woman, 2 children and 2 killed under torture.
Idlib: 8
Deir Azzour: 5 including 1 killed under torture.
Homs: 3 including a lieutenant killed under torture.
Hama: 2

Total: 96 deaths.
