The death toll on Saturday 24/5/2014 reached 53 deaths including a woman and four children.
Among those killed; four from Daraa were killed as a result of the explosion of a mine planted by the regime in al-Sheikh Miskeen. Additionally a man in his thirties from al-Intharat (Aleppo) was killed by the bombing of explosive barrels on the neighbourhood and a woman from Idlib was shot dead by the Turkish security during her transit through the Turkish border. Furthermore a journalist from Deir Azzour was killed in clashes with ISIL in Badiat al-Sham and a child from Arbeen (Rural Damascus) was killed as a result of lack of medicine due to the siege imposed by regime forces on Eastern Ghouta. Moreover, a man from Qadasiya (Rural Damascus) died from a gunshot wound from an unidentified car that entered the city of Qadasiya and opened fire on him.
Seventeen were killed under torture; three from Homs, the fourth a man in his sixties from Jirud (Rural Damascus), the fifth from al-Salihiya (Damascus), the sixth from al-Yadudah (Daraa) and 11 from Aleppo.
Three were shot by regime snipers; the first a child from Aleppo shot by al-Qal’a sniper this morning, the second also from Aleppo shot by a regime sniper at Karaaj al-Hajz crossing on 9/5/2014 and the third from al-Mazireeb (Daraa).
