The death toll on Monday 14/4/2014 reached 89 deaths, including 12 women and nine children.
Twenty- six civilians were killed in Damascus and its suburbs, including five that died as a result of bombing of warplanes on Douma.
In Aleppo 25 civilians were killed, including four killed in shelling on al-Maysir neighbourhood (Aleppo).
In Homs 15 civilians were killed, among them seven civilians killed by the mortar shelling on al-Ghouta neighbourhoods, al-Mal’ab and Karam al-Shami (Homs).
In Daraa the regime’s army targeted a dispensary in the town of Kahil; which led to five deaths, including a physiotherapist.
Among those killed, a nurse and two women (one of them a physiotherapist) and a child from Daraa died as a result of shelling that targeted the clinic in the town of Kahil. In addition a paramedic and an ambulance driver from Aleppo died while trying to rescue the wounded in clashes in al-Rashideen district (Aleppo). Furthermore a defected soldier from al-Houla (Homs) was killed in clashes in Khan Shikhun (Idlib) as well as a man from Tadmur (Homs) died after being subjected to a burglary by gunmen on the road to Homs Tadmur. A child from Douma (Rural Damascus) died as a result of lack of medical and food supplies in the city of Douma. Additionally a Palestinian woman in her fifties from Sabina (Rural Damascus) died from acute hypoglycaemia due to the siege imposed by regime forces on Yarmouk camp. Moreover a paramedic from Hama was killed in clashes in the battle of al-I’tisam and three others (among them an engineer) were executed by militia Abu al Fadl al Abbas.
Six were shot by regime snipers: the first from al-Qabun (Damascus) shot in the leg and was left to bleed to death, the second in his twenties from Aleppo shot by a sniper system centred over al-Qal’a, the third from Jam’iya al-Zahra (Aleppo) shot in the neighbourhood and three (among them a woman) from rural Damascus were killed in al-Wafideen camp (Rural Damascus).
Three were killed under torture; the first from Deir Azzour, the second from Daraa and the third from Homs.
As a result of bombing of explosive barrels six from Aleppo were killed.
