The death toll on Saturday 22/3/2014 reached 84 deaths, including two women and nine children.
Among those killed, four from al-Jura (Deir Azzour) were executed in regime prisons and three children from Douma (Rural Damascus) died due to lack of medical supplies due to the siege imposed by regime forces on Eastern Ghouta. Additionally a woman from Harita (Rural Damascus) was shot by the regime forces while attempting to escape with a group of civilians from Haria from the siege on eastern Ghouta. A media activist from Qal’at al-Hasn (Homs) was killed in an ambush at the hands of regime forces on 20/3/2014 and three from A’zaz (Rural Aleppo) were found in Jab al-Miri in the city of Azaz. Their bodies had disintegrated, and they were buried in al-Sheikh Saeed cemetery. Furthermore a woman from Aleppo was exposed to a gunshot by an unknown source at her balcony and a man from Ma’rrat al-No’maan (Idlib) was killed as a result of his injury while trying to pull the body of Abdul Hakim Hasri.
Six were shot by regime snipers: the first from Manbaj (Rural Aleppo) was shot in the clashes in al-Sheikh Najar, the second from Ma’rrat al-No’maan (Idlib) was shot while he was at al-Za’lana barrier, the third from Yarmouk camp and could not be withdrawn because of snipers targeting the area, the fourth a man in his twenties from Harista (Rural Damascus) shot on Harista highway, the fifth a child from Bustan al-Qasr (Aleppo) and the sixth from Aleppo shot at Karaj al-Hajar crossing.
Three were killed under torture; the first from Deir Ba’laba (Homs), the second from al-Midan (Damascus) and the third from Yarmouk camp killed on 20/3/2014 from Yabrud (Rural Damascus) killed under torture in Palestine prison after his arrest that lasted for more than two months.
As a result of bombing of explosive barrels on the outskirts of Sawami’ al-Hubub barrier (Daraa); four were killed and a fifth from Kafr Hamra (Aleppo) also died as a result of bombing of explosive barrels on the town.
