The death toll on Thursday 27/02/2014 reached 77 deaths, including four women and five children.
Among those killed, six men and two women from Sinjar (Idlib) died as a result of a car bomb explosion in the town market and a man from al-Za’lana (Aleppo) died as a result of cluster bombs. Five men from al-Qahtania (Al-Hassaka) were executed at the hands of the PKK and a man from Tal Barak (Al-Hassaka) was also killed by the PKK. In addition a man from Deir Azzour died from a heart attack in Gharaz prison and was not taken for emergency aid outside the prison due to the siege imposed on the prison. Furthermore, a medical activist from Hammourieh (Rural Damascus) died as a result of lack of medical supplies due to the siege of eastern Ghouta imposed by the regime forces and a man from Jabaadin (Rural Damascus) died as a result of grenades thrown at the FSA. Two men from the Yarmouk camp died due to poisoning in Rijl al-Asfour and the third died of dehydration due to the siege imposed on the camp. A pilot from Yabrood (Rural Damascus) died at the Yabrood front in Qalmun (Rural Damascus).
Two were shot by regime snipers; the first, a child from Nawa (Daraa) by regime forces stationed in Tal al-Jamu’ and the second from Saqba (Rural Damascus) killed in al-Wafdin camp (Rural Damascus) while obtaining food for his family.
