The death toll on Tuesday 25/02/2014 reached 61 deaths, including four women and four children.
Among those killed, six men, a woman and two children from Tal Barak (Al-Hassaka) were executed at the hands of the PKK, a man from Bashlamun (Idlib) died as a result of a gunshot wound in the heart in Darkoush, another man from Kafr Hud (Hama) was killed in an ambush by the regime’s forces in Rural Hama. In addition a Palestinian woman and resident of the Al-Yarmouk camp died as a result of dehydration due to the shortage of food and medicine in the camp. A child from Bustan al-Qasr (Aleppo) died from a mistaken gunshot wound by his family, as well as a man in his twenties from al-Firdaws (Aleppo) who died from a gunshot wound from an unknown source in the neighbourhood, and a defected sergeant from Aabil (Homs) died in the town of al-Sahl (Rural Damascus) in clashes with regime forces and Hezbollah.
Five were killed under torture: the first from Hama died in one of the regime prisons in Damascus, the second was a defected soldier from Kafr Amim (Idlib), two were from Adwaan (Daraa), and the fifth was a child from Manbaj (Aleppo) killed under torture by unidentified sources.
Two died as a result of regime snipers; the first from al-Khalidiya (Homs) shot whilst rescuing the wounded and the second from al-Qiyasa (Rural Damascus) shot at al-Wafdin camp (Rural Damascus).
