PKK commits a Horrific Massacre in Rural Al-Hasaka

24-February-2014 By admin2

Activists have confirmed that PKK elements as well as elements of the “Protectors of the Kurdish People” committed a horrific massacre in the village of Tal Baraak and its surroundings in the Al-Hasaka countryside.

The massacre was committed over three days, resulting in the death of 25 civilians including two women and three children.

The operation began on the morning of Saturday 22/2/2014, when the forces raided the area and imposed a curfew, after which they erected check points at the entrance and exits of the village and forbade the entering and exiting of the town inhabited by Arab tribes. After this, the forces began to raid homes and arrest civilians, only to summarily execute them, whilst others were taken to unknown places.

Names of victims can be found in the Arabic Section
