The death toll on Tuesday 18/02/2014 reached 88 deaths, including 11 women and ten children.
Daraa experienced the largest number of deaths where the regime forces committed a horrific massacre in the town of al-Mazirib (Rural Daraa) and claimed the lives of 19 people (including three men, four women and three Palestinian children) due to bombing from helicopters.
In Aleppo, nine were killed including four that died as a result of the bombing of explosive barrels on al-Antharat neighbourhood. In Homs seven were killed including three civilians that died due to shelling on the village of al-Kabira (Rural Homs). In al-Hassaka a woman and her three children were killed as a result of shelling on Ghawiran neighbourhood.
Among the dead were four people from Idlib found beheaded in a cemetery, and a woman from Idlib killed by mortar shelling from an unidentified source in Jalaa Street, Central Idlib. A man from Wadi Barda (Rural Damascus) was killed as a result of a bomb explosion at a public park, as well as a child from Douma (Rural Damascus) that died due to lack of nutrition. Additionally a man from al-Salehiya (Deir Azzour) died from his wounds as a result of a car explosion.
Four were killed under torture: the first from al-Midan (Damascus), the second a man in his twenties from al-Tuwini (Hama) killed in regime prisons in Damascus, the third from Kafr Shams and the fourth from al-Salehiya (Damascus) killed after having endured 8 months of imprisonment.
As a result of the bombing of explosive barrels, four people from al-Intharat neighbourhood (Aleppo) were killed. A child from Kafr Abid (Aleppo) died following the collapse of the refuge as a result of the shelling on the village. In addition a man in his twenties from al-Baab (Rural Aleppo) was killed as well as a man and a woman from al-Sahl (Rural Damascus).
Three were shot by regime snipers: the first a Palestinian resident of al-Yarmouk camp, the second from al-Qabun (Damascus) killed in al-Wafdin camp (Rural Damascus) and the third from Basr al-Harir (Rural Daraa).
