The death toll on Monday 17/02/2014 reached 76 deaths, including seven women and five children.
Damascus and its suburbs witnessed the killing of 34 people, three of whom were killed in Daraya as a result of the fall of a land rocket.
Among the dead were four people from Daraa killed in the massacre in the town of al-Yadudah on 14/02/2014.
Two were shot by regime snipers; the first a woman from Aleppo in al-Sheikh Saeed and the second from Harasta (Rural Damascus) who was killed on 16/02/2014. As a result of the bombing of explosive barrels, three men and three women were killed from Masakin Hanano (Aleppo).
Eight were killed under torture: the first from Tadmur (Homs) in the cellars of the security branches in Damascus, the second a man in his fifties also from Tadmur killed in the military security branch in Tadmur. Two from Daraa and the fifth, a child from al-Saheela (Daraa) and the sixth from Jabab (Daraa) was killed under torture in regime prisons in Damascus. The seventh was from al-Mazzeh (Damascus) and the eighth- a Palestinian resident of al-Yarmouk camp- was killed in a regime prison after having endured five months of imprisonment in al-Mazzeh district (Damascus).
As a result of lack of food and medicine due to the siege imposed by regime forces, three died (including a Palestinian man in his eighties and a child) from al-Yarmouk camp, two (including a woman) from Douma and the third from Saqba.
