The death toll on 06/02/2014 reached 107 including 12 women and 24 children.
Among the dead 24 were killed by shelling on houses in Hananu and another ten were killed by shelling on Deir Hafir. In addition ten people died due to the explosion in the western neighbourhood in Ma’rrat al-No’maan in Idlib and four in the village of al-Hareeji in Deir Azzour.
Among the dead a man from Yalda in Rural Damascus died due to consuming rotten food as a result of the siege of the city imposed by the regime forces, whilst a man from Baba Amru in Homs died in an ambush by regime forces in eastern Homs. As a result of the bombing of explosive barrels,nine men, three women, and six children from Aleppo were killed as well as a man and two children from Khan Al-sheeh refugee camp in Rural Damascus.
As a result of rocket bombardment on the town of Deir Hafir four women and six children were killed. Eight died under torture: two from Damascus in Al-Khatib prison, the third from Al-Shaghour (Damascus) died under torture in the State Security prison on 1/08/2013, the fourth from Hatita al-Tarkaman (Rural Damascus) died under torture in regime prisons and was buried in a mass grave in Najha district. The fifth who was from Bait Jinn (Rural Damascus) was killed under torture by the hands of popular pro-regime committees, the sixth was from Nabak in Rural Damascus, the seventh from Mua’rdis in Hama was also tortured to death in a regime prison in Damascus (news of his martyrdom arrived on 5/2/2014) and the eighth was from Al-Quneitra in Al-Khatib prison. Also two men and a woman were shot by regime snipers in al-Wafdin camp in Rural Damascus.
