One hundred and thirty-five civilians were killed in Syria on 15/12/2013, among them 38 children and 14 women.
More than half of those killed were from Aleppo, in which 83 were killed, among them 23 civilians- mostly children- that perished in a horrific massacre which targeted the districts of al-Haidariya, al-Sakhoor, al-Ard al-Hamraa’ and Tareeq al-Bab, in addition to four from al’Shi’aar district and four from al-Firdaws, seven from al-Sakhoor, 15 from al-Marjah, and five that perished in shelling on Bab al-Neirab, and four from Karm al-Khaseem, as well as three that died in al-Saliheen and two from al-Ansari in Aleppo that died due to shelling.
Thirty-three were killed in Damascus and its suburbs, among them eight in al-Dameer and five from Douma.
And among those killed was an engineer from Ma’arah al-Arteeq in Aleppo, that died in shelling on the village, as well as a lawyer from al-Quseir (Homs) that died in shelling on al-Raheeba (rural Damascus). Two from al-Rastan in Homs were summarily executed in regime prisons, and a child from ‘Arfa (Hama) died due to the extreme cold and lack of heating.
Two died under torture: the first from Mahaja in Daraa and the second was a defected soldier from Deir Azzour.
