Eighty-five civilians were killed in Syria on Monday 2/12/2013, among them 13 women and ten children.
Most were killed in Damascus and its suburbs, in which 33 were killed, among them six from Douma (three children that died due to lack of food and medicine as a result of the blockade and three that died in shelling), six from al-Nabak that died due to shelling, and three in Jayrood that also died as a result of shelling. Three civilians also died in Yalda due to shelling, including two women, and six were killed in clashes in Qalamoon, as well as four in al-Otaiba.
Fourteen were killed in Aleppo, among them four (including two women and a child) from al-Bab that died in shelling.
From Homs, twelve were killed, among them four (including three women) from Baba Amr that died due to shelling on their home in al-Nabak, rural Damascus.
And six from Idlib were killed, among them four from Bansh that died in Aleppo.
And among those killed were four (including the head of the media office in the city) from al-Nabak in rural Damascus that died as those injured from regime shelling were being transported to medical help. This is in addition to three children from Douma that died due to lack of food and medicine as a result of the blockade, a man from Aleppo that died due to lack of medicine and food in Aleppo Central Prison, and two that died under torture: the first from al-Dameer (rural Damascus) that had been imprisoned by the regime for two years and the second a Somali from the inhabitants of al-Tal (rural Damascus) that died in Branch 215. A man in his twenties from Qaarah (rural Damascus) was executed on 26-11-2013 at the hand of regime forces, a defected soldier from al-Bab died due to injuries he sustained in shelling, two from al-Sanamein in Daraa perished in a landmine explosion in the city, a civilian from Bab Sbaa’ in Homs was kidnapped from al-Khidr District then killed after negotiations, a man from al-Hariji in Deir Azzour was killed by sniper fire in al-Rasafiah, and a man in his twenties- also from Deir Azzour- was killed when a shell from an unknown source hit him on 30/11/2013.
