Eighty-nine civilians were killed in Syria on Monday 25/11/2013, among them four women and four children.
Approximately half of those killed were from Damascus and its suburbs in which 39 were killed, among them three that died in shelling on Deir Atiah, 12 that died in clashes in rural Damascus, three that were killed in al-Maqilbiah and three in al-Nabak due to shelling, three that were killed in Barza (two of them due to shelling), and six in Douma.
Seventeen were killed in Aleppo, among them two in Alsfeerah and two in al-Maysar district that were killed due to shelling.
And among those killed were two Palestinians from al-Yarmouk that died due to injuries they sustained due to regime shelling, a man from Douma (rural Damascus) that died after he suffered from a heart attack during an airstrike on the city, a civilian from al-Neirab (Idlib) that was killed when his car was targeted by warplanes, a civilian from Aleppo that died after he contracted Tuberculosis in Aleppo Central Prison and was provided with no medicines, and two from al-Dab’ah in Homs that died in an ambush in al-Nabak, rural Damascus.
In addition, four were killed by regime sniper fire, and six died under torture.
Activists also confirmed the death of a defected assistant and a defected sergeant from Muhasan in Deir Azzour as a result of shelling. This is in addition to a defected soldier from Misraba (rural Damascus) who died in clashes in the Eastern Ghouta.
