Fifty-one civilians were killed in Syria on 17/11/2013, among them four women and six children.
Close to a third of those killed were from Aleppo, in which 15 were killed, among them four that were killed by airstrikes on Al-Jizmati district in Aleppo, as well as a woman and a child that died due to shelling on Al-Harabila district.
Eleven were killed in Daraa, among them six that died in a landmine explosion in Bosra al-Sham and four civilians that were killed in shelling on Daraa Camp.
And among those killed was a child from Wadi al-Muwali in Homs who was summarily executed by regime forces. A defected soldier from Idlib died in clashes in Bosra al-Hareer, and three Palestinians from Daraa Camp died due to shelling on the camp.
Two were killed by regime snipers: the first from Hayaan (Aleppo) who was killed by sniper fire at the Khalidiya front, and the second was a man in his twenties from al-Wa’ar (Homs) who was killed by sniper fire in al-Mazra’a.
Four were killed under torture: the first a man in his fifties from Ain Maneen (rural Damascus), the second from al-Farqalas in Homs,, the third from Jabal al-Zawiya in Idlib who died under torture in a security branch in Damascus and the fourth from Kafar Sajnah in Idlib.
