Daily Report of Human Rights Violations in Syria: 15/11/2013

One hundred and eight civilians were killed in Syria on 15/11/2013, among them ten women and 13 children.

The largest number killed was from Homs, in which 37 were killed, among them four that perished in shelling on the village of Taldo.

In Hama, 24 were killed, among them a whole family of eight members from Aqeerabat (rural Hama) and ten that were summarily executed in al-Jalma (rural Hama).

Twelve were killed in Damascus, among them a family in al-Zabadani (rural Damascus) that died due to shelling and three that were killed by sniper fire.

In Idlib, seven were killed, among them three from Ma’saraan.

And among those killed were 25 (including eight women- one whom was six months pregnant and was burnt to death when a missile hit her home- and eight children) from Wadi al-Mawla in Homs that died due to summary executions and shelling which targeted Talkalah, ten (including a six women and a child) from al-Jumla in Hama that were summarily executed by forces loyal to the regime, the leader of a battalion in Maheen (Homs), a woman from al-Zara (Homs) that was killed by gunfire from a checkpoint in the village, a child from al-Sakhna (Homs) that died due to the explosion of cluster bombs, a media activist from Taldo that was killed by shelling on the village, a man from al-Houla that was killed gunfire from Shabiha thugs, a pregnant woman- in her ninth month- from Aqeerabat (Hama) that died due to shelling, and a man from Aleppo who was found tied up, with signs of torture on his head and eight gunfire wounds. In addition, three Palestinians were killed due to injuries sustained from shelling.

Five were killed by regime snipers: the first from al-Wa’ar (Homs), the second from al-Arqoub (Aleppo) that was killed by a sniper at Thaknat Hanano on 12-11-2013, the third from Deir Salman who was killed as he attempted leaving the Eastern Ghouta, the fourth from al-Atibah was killed by the sniper at the Mukhayam Checkpoint, and the fifth was from Jobar, Damascus.

Two were killed under torture: the first from Majra al-Ziyaadah in Hama, and the second from al-Faqee’ in Daraa who died under torture in the Palestine Branch in Damascus.

List of provinces according to those killed:

Homs: 37 including 6 women, a foetus, 9 children and a media activist
Hama: 24 including 6 women, a child, and a man that died under torture
Aleppo: 18 including a child
Damascus and its suburbs: 12 including a woman and a child
Idlib: 7
Daraa: 7 including 2 women and one that died under torture
Al-Suwaida: 2
Deir Azzour: 1
