Eighty-six civilians were killed in Syria on Thursday 14/11/2013, among them six women and 16 children.
Over half of the deaths were recorded in the city of Aleppo, in which 46 were killed. Among them were ten members of the same family in the village of Abteen (rural Aleppo), six from the village of Jabal al-His, five from al-Bab, three from al-Shi’aar District, six that perished in clashes in Khanasir and Jabal Shuwayhina, and five that perished in the clashes surrounding Brigade 80.
Four were killed in al-Quneitra, three of whom died in the clashes which began in al-Nasiriya in rural Quneitra.
And among those who were killed was a media activist from al-Bab (Aleppo) that died in shelling on the area, a teacher from Daarat Aza (rural Aleppo) that died in clashes in Jabal Shuwaihina, a defected colonel that died in clashes with the regime at Ma’arat al-Arteeq, a defected first assistant from al-Sabina that died in clashes in Maheen by a GGM missile, and two brothers from Shayzar in Hama that were summarily executed at the mosque in Kafr Hud village.
Three died under torture: the first from al-Atarib (rural Aleppo) that died under torture in the Military Intelligence branch in Aleppo, the second- a man in his forties- from Hala (rural Damascus) and the third was a defected soldier from Sawran (Hama).
Four were killed by regime snipers: the first from al-Qadam (Damascus) was killed by sniper fire in Majma’ al-Qadam al-Sana’i, the second from al-Jarba in rural Damascus that was killed by the sniper at al-Mukhayam checkpoint, the third from Deir Salman was killed by the sniper at the Air Defence in al-Maliha, and the fourth was from al-Wa’ar in Homs.
