Ninety-nine civilians were killed in Syria on Friday 8/11/2013, among them five women and 13 children.
Almost half of the numbers killed were from the city of Aleppo, in which 44 were killed, among them 28 that perished in the clashes of Brigade 80 close to Aleppo Airport, in addition to six from civilians that died in shelling on the al-Naqarin district, and five from the village of al-Dweiriniyah.
In Idlib, 16 were killed, among them eight that were killed in the villages of al-Faw’iah and Kafriah, which are loyal to the regime.
Twelve were killed in Hama, among them five children that died in a cluster bomb explosion (remnants left by the Syrian army) in the Rasm al-Ahmar village, in addition to four others (including a child) that died in Jisr Bait al-Raas when a mosque was targeted.
And among those killed were 28 (among them 17 from Aleppo, eight from al-Bab, two from Tareeq al-Bab and one from Idlib) that perished in clashes at the frontier of Brigade 80, five children from Rasm al-Dab’ in Hama that died due to a cluster bomb explosion due to remnants left by the Syrian army in Rasm al-Ahmar, four from Hama (including an Imam) that were killed when a mosque was targeted in an attack, a man in his sixties from al-Naqarin and three children from al-Tayara that died when their car was targeted and shelled on al-Naqarin Street, a civilian from Kafroma (Idlib) died during shelling as he carried out his manual labour of picking olives, a woman in her twenties from Jisr al-Shughoor was killed by gunfire and found in Sad al-Shughoor, and a civilian from Taseel (Daraa) died from injuries he sustained from shelling from warplanes which hit him as he helped transport the injured to hospital.
Two died under torture: the first from Junoob al-Thakna in Hama who died under torture after he was detained for 11 months, and the second from Tadmur (Homs) that died under torture in the Security Military Branch.
The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) also documented the death of a defected soldier from Sawran (Hama) that was killed during the raiding of al-I’laf checkpoint in Kawkab, and another defected solider from Karm al-Maysar (Aleppo) that died in shelling on the city of Nawa in Daraa, as well as a media activist from Tareeq al-Sad (Daraa) that perished in shelling.
