Daily Report on Human Rights Violations in Syria: 10/11/2013

Seventy-six civilians were killed in Syria on Sunday 10/11/2013, among them seven women and nine children.

The largest death toll was registered in Damascus and its suburbs in which 26 were killed, among them six (including three women and a child) that died due to the shelling on Jayroud, four from Daraya including three that died due to shelling, three from al-Rahiba that died in clashes in Maheen (Homs), and three from the Yarmouk Camp.

In Aleppo, 24 were killed, among them four (including two women and a child) from the Al-Shi’aar district that were killed in the shelling on the district, two that fell due to shelling on Tareeq al-Bab, and 8 that were killed due to the clashes at Brigade 80.

In Homs, 10 were killed, including four civilians that died when one of the mosques in Maheen (rural Homs) was shelled with a GGM Rocket.

And among those killed were three from Maheen (Homs) who were killed when a mosque was targeted with a GGM Rocket, a defected soldier from Masakin Hano in Aleppo that died in clashes close to the frontier of Brigade 80, a man in his fifties from Bayanoun in Aleppo that was killed at Tareeq Afreen Darat Azza with gunfire, a 2 month old baby from Yarmouk Camp in Damascus that perished due to lack of nutrition and medical assistance as a result of the siege imposed by the regime on the city, a child from Qal’at al-Husn in Homs that died due to lack of nutrition as a result of the siege imposed on the city, a man from Rai’a in Latakkia that was killed by gunfire, a child from al-Sheikh Ahmed in Aleppo that was killed by the sniper at Kuwairis Airport, and a Palestinian from the Daraa Camp that died due to intense shelling on the camp.

Three were killed under torture: the first from Homs, the second- in his twenties- from Nimr in Daraa, and the third from Um Walad in Daraa who died under torture in a regime prison in Damascus.

Damascus and its suburbs: 26 including 3 women and 2 children
Aleppo: 24 including 2 women and 2 children
Homs: 10 including 2 children and one who died under torture
Daraa: 9 including 2 that died under torture
Idlib: 2
Al-Quneitra: 2
Deir Azzour: 1
Latakkia: 1
Hama: 1 child
