Fifty-eight civilians were killed in Syria on Tuesday 5/11/2013, among them two women and three children.
The largest number killed was documented in Damascus and its suburbs, in which 22 were killed, including nine from rural Damascus that perished in clashes in Maheen, as well as 4 civilians from Adra (rural Damascus) that were summarily executed.
In Homs, 18 were killed, among them 16 that perished in clashes with regime forces in Maheen (rural Damascus).
And in Daraa, nine were killed; among them three that died after their car was targeted in Busra al-Hareer.
And among those who were killed were four (three of them from the same family) from Adra (rural Damascus) that were summarily executed in Adra Central Prison, a man from Daraa al-Balad that was summarily executed by regime forces, three (a father, his son, and his grandchild) from Busra al-Shaam in Daraa that died when their car was targeted and bombed, a woman from Aleppo that due to lack of medical equipment after contracting kidney disease, and a civilian from Ar-Raqqah that died when warplanes of the regime shelled a power plant.
Five were killed under torture: the first from Kafr Susah in Damascus died under torture in Branch 215, the second from Harira (rural Damascus) died under torture in regime prisons after he was detained for a number of months, the third from Judaidat Artooz al-Fadl (rural Damascus) died under torture in regime prisons and his body was given to his family on 1-11-2013, the fourth from Tafs (Daraa) and the fifth from Jarjanaaz in Idlib.
The Syrian Human Rights Committee (SHRC) also documented the killing of a nurse from Bab al-Dreib (Homs) in an ambush on 28/10/2013, as he was on his way to a field hospital, as well as the killing of a media activist from Tal Kalakh (Homs) that died in clashes in Maheen (rural Damascus). SHRC also documented the death of a defected soldier from al-Sabuniya (Hama) who was killed by gunfire from regime forces at the Al-Sabahi Checkpoint on 31-10-2013, and a Jordanian that died in clashes in Maheen.
Three were killed by regime snipers: the first was from Harasta (rural Damascus) who was killed by sniper fire in the Eastern Ghouta area, the second from Daraa died due to injuries he sustained after being shot by a sniper and the third was a Palestinian from Mukhayam Daraa.
