Sixty-six civilians were killed in Syria on Friday 1st of November, among them three women and 13 children.
The largest number of those who were killed were from Damascus and its suburbs, in which 15 were killed, among them a woman and two children from Daraya (rural Damascus) who were killed as a result of the shelling on Khan al-Sheikh as well as three from al-Hajar al-Aswad who were killed in clashes.
In Aleppo, 13 were killed including three in al-Firdaws who died due to shelling and two who were killed in clashes.
In Daraa, ten were killed, among them five from the city of Nawa that were killed in shelling.
In Hama, eight were killed including two that died in shelling in Kafr Zaita (rural Hama) and four children from the village of al-Tarimisa.
And in Homs, seven were killed, among them a family of three that were slaughtered by regime forces in the city of Al-Zara.
And among those who were killed was a woman from al-Tadamun (Damascus) who was killed in the village of al-Sabina (rural Damascus) by regime forces at the checkpoint whilst she attempted leaving the village, a taxi driver from Rukn al-Din who was killed in Ma’arba when he was shot in the shoulder, a civilian from Wadi Barda (rural Damascus) died in Lebanon due to a car explosion in a market, three members of a displaced family (a mother, her daughter and grandchild) from al-Zara in Homs were slaughtered in their home in Talkalakh, and a man from al-Qaryatain in Aleppo who died in the Central Prison of Aleppo after contracting tuberculosis. In addition, a civilian from Al-Ibzmo in Aleppo perished in a bomb blast left in the residue of shelling on the area, a civilian from al-Baq’an in Deir Azzour was killed in Sahnaya (rural Damascus) by the bullet of a checkpoint soldier, and a civilian from Albo Kamal (Deir Azzour) was executed with the bullet of regime soldiers in Damascus after he was arrested from a checkpoint in Baghdad Street, Damascus.
Five were killed under torture: the first from Ya’four (rural Damascus), the second from al-Dab’ah in Homs, the third from Baba Amr in Homs, the fourth from Deir Azzour who died under torture in Branch 215 in Damascus on 2/4/2013 after he was arrested on 8-3-2012, and the fifth from al-Habeet in Idlib.
Two were killed by sniper fire: the first- in his twenties- from Aleppo, was killed by a regime sniper during clashes and the second was a man in his sixties from al-Halak in Aleppo who was killed by a regime sniper in al-Sheikh Khidr district.
