Sixty-eight civilians were killed in Syria on Tuesday 29/10/2013, among them five women and twelve children.
The largest number killed were documented in the city of Aleppo, in which 15 were killed, including three from Bayanoun (rural Aleppo) who died as a result of shelling, two from Al-Sfeerah (rural Aleppo) who fell in clashes and three who also fell in clashes with PKK militias in the village of Jalbul (Northern rural Aleppo).
In Homs, 14 were killed, including 12 (among them five children) who died due to the shelling on al-Wa’ar in Homs.
In Daraa, ten were killed, among them three from Jasim (including two children who died due to shelling on the town and a civilian who died under torture), and a fourth from Daa’il who also died under torture.
As for Damascus and its suburbs: eight were killed, among them two from Daraya that died due to shelling.
And in al-Hasaka, seven were killed, including three from al-Hasaka that died in clashes with the National Defence Forces and the armed Kurdish YBJ group, and three from Ghawayran, one of whom died due to shelling.
And among those who were killed were three from Aleppo who died in clashes with the PKK in rural Aleppo, three from Ras al-Ain in Al-Hasaka who also died in clashes with the National Defence Forces and the Kurdish YBJ, a man from al-Hirak (Daraa) that died whilst fixing the power cut after intense shelling on the city which cut off the electricity supply, a civilian from the Yarmouk Camp who died due to lack of medical supplies as a result of the siege on the camp, a civilian from Daraa al-Balad that was killed by a regime sniper stationed in the city, an engineering student from al-Dirbasiah (al-Hasaka) that died due to the shelling on the Ghwayran, and two Palestinian children: the first from the Daraa Camp that died in al-Ramtha (Jordan) after injuries sustained due to shelling, and the second from al-Yarmouk that also died due to regime shelling.
Three were killed under torture: the first- in his forties- from Jasim (Daraa), the second from Daa’il (Daraa), and the third from al-Baarah (Idlib).
