Daily Report on Violations of Human Rights in Syria: 27/10/2013

Sixty-eight civilians were killed in Syria on 27/10/2013, among them seven women and four children.

The largest number killed were from the Damascus and its suburbs, in which 16 were killed, among them four from Douma (Rural Damascus) that were killed during the shelling of the city, as well as three that fell in clashes in the village of al-Zamaniah (Rural Damascus).

In Daraa, 16 were also killed.

As for Deir Azzour, 15 were killed, among them 11 that perished in clashes in Deir Azzour: six of them died close to the Military Airport of Deir Azzour, and five of whom died in the Al-Rashadiah district.

And in Homs, 12 were killed, among them seven that died due to shelling in al-Wa’ar, and two that died under torture, and two that were killed by sniper fire.

And among those who were killed was a child from al-Qaboon in Damascus that died from injuries she sustained on 25-10-2013 at the Masakin Crossing in Barzah, as well as a civilian that died after he was kidnapped from al-Mazra’ah Crossing in al-Wa’ar, and a man in his forties from I’zaz (Aleppo) who died in clashes close to the two villages of Nabl and al-Zahra (both loyal to the regime). A man from Hayan (Aleppo) also died in clashes with the PKK associated with the regime in the village of al-Ziyara, a civilian from Kafrzaytah in Hama died in an explosion called by a hand bomb, and a civilian from Tal Rif’at (Aleppo) was killed by fire from the PKK in the village of Afreen.

Six were killed by sniper fire: the first from Deir Azzour was killed by a sniper from the Syrian Army, the second a woman from Tafs (Daraa), the third from Qudsia (rural Damascus), the fourth from al-Wa’ar in Homs, the fifth from Izideen in Homs who died in clashes at the Ain Hussein Front by a sniper’s shot, and the sixth a man in his forties fromAleppo who was killed by a sniper shot at the Karraj al-Hajz crossing.

Two were killed under torture: the first- in his twenties- from Aabel in Homs, and the second, also from Aabel, died under torture in an Air force Intelligent basement.

Damascus and its suburbs: 16 including 2 women
Daraa: 16 including 2 children and 2 women
Deir Azzour: 15
Homs: 12 including 2 women and a child
Aleppo: 6 including a woman and a child
Hama: 3
