One hundred and twenty-seven civilians were killed in Syria on 14/10/2013, among them ten women and fifteen children.
The largest number killed was in the city of Idlib, which witnessed a massacre against the families of Darkoush (rural Idlib) in which 40 were killed due to the explosion of a car in the village market.
And in Deir Azzour, 22 were killed, among them seven from Deir Azzour (four of whom died in shelling, and a media activist and two who died in clashes), three from al-Mayadin who were killed when mortar rockets were launched on the city, and a fourth who died in clashes. Three from the al-Murat Village were killed as a result of shelling which targeted the village, and three from al-Shuhail were also killed (a child that died due to shelling and two men who fell during clashes).
In Damascus and its suburbs, 16 were killed, among them six who perished in the shelling on al-Asali in Damascus as well as a man, a woman and a child from Shab’aa who died as a result of the shelling on al-Maliha.
And in Daraa, 12 were killed among them six (including two children) who fell in the shelling on Tareeq al-Sad in Daraa.
Eleven died in Aleppo, among them a whole family of five members (the father, mother and their three children) who were killed due to rockets launched on al-Naqareen, as well as three who died due to the shelling on Deir Haafir.
And in Homs, five were killed, among them two who perished in the shelling on al-Wa’ar.
And among those who were killed were 38 (28 men, a woman and two children from Darkoush + a man and child from Jisr a-Shughoor+ four from Ain al-Sawda+ 1 from al-Ma’laqa); all of whom perished when a car bomb exploded in the market of Darkoush. A man from al-Sheikh Miskeen in Daraa was also executed at the hands of regime forces, and a Doctor from Deir Azzour died in clashes in Al-Asali in Damascus. A man in his twenties from al-Sabuniya (Hama) was executed by regime forces at the Al-Mazzah Military branch in Damascus yesterday, whilst a man from Tadmur, Homs, died in a hospital in Damascus after he was severely tortured in prison. Finally, a civilian from Tareeq Halab (Hama) died under torture at the hands of regime forces in Branch 291 in Damascus.
Four were killed by sniper fire: the first from Kafr Sajnah in Idlib died due to injuries he sustained after he was shot by a sniper, the second- in his twenties- from the village of Budeir Haafir in Aleppo was shot by regime sniper in Kuweiris Airport, the third, in his forties and from Hama was killed by sniper stationed on the Worker’s Alliance Building, and the fourth was from Bibila in rural Damascus.
