Sources of the Kurdish Yekiti party relayed that a patrol of the state security intelligence in Amoda (North East) raided on (16/10/2006) the shop of the Kurdish citizen Raizan Adel Ahmad, arrested him and hastily moved him to al-Qamishli. Later, he was transferred to al-Mantika Branch in Damascus. The reason of this despotic and random arrest is still to be known.

The Syrian Human Rights Committee who requests the termination of all forms of despotic arrests requests also the immediate release of Raizan Adel Ahmad as well as the release of all political detainees and prisoners of conscience in Syrian
